Why do you use coconut wax?

Our wax of choice is a coconut and rapeseed blend. We tested many waxes but this wax was the only wax that was plant based, sustainable, long lasting and provided a comparable hot throw (the aroma of your candle whilst lit) to paraffin wax.

How do i CARE FOR MY CANDLE?

Before lighting always trim the wick to 5mm.

Place the candle away from children, pets and draughts, on a level, heat resistant surface. Never leave a lit candle unattended.

Make sure to always burn your candle until the melt pool has reached the edge of the glass container. This ensures an even burn, no tunnelling and an even scent throw. Burn for a maximum of 4hrs at a time.

This candle is made with a natural wax which burns clean and slowly. After the initial burn, once the wax cools, pitting may occur. This is normal for a natural wax and does not affect the scent throw or burn time of your candle.

When will I receive my order?

Packages are shipped on Monday/Wednesday/Friday and Saturday’s. Postage options are below.

Your items will be sent via Royal Mail or Hermes to UK only.

Standard delivery (2-5 business days): £3.50
Free standard delivery on orders £40 and over.

All parcels will be sent via Royal Mail unless they contain matches, these parcels will be sent via Hermes.

What is your return policy?

We hope you love your West Byre Apothecary product however is something is not right please contact us at enquiries@westbyreapothecary.co.uk for assistance, we will reply within 24hours.  

Our return policy is 14 days, so if there are any issues please contact us on the email address above within these 14 days, otherwise we will not be able to offer you a refund or exchange.

In the rare instance there may be some damage from shipping we will require photographic proof of damage to be sent to the email address above. If satisfied we will refund you or send you another product to replace what was damaged.

We cannot refund or replace items that have been used. 

When returning an item we are unable to cover the cost of postage and do ask you to obtain proof of posting as we cannot take responsibility for items lost in the post.

All items returned to us needs to be returned unused, in the same condition you received it and in the original packaging.

If you are approved for a refund we will refund you via the original method of payment within 30 days.
